February 23rd: Amar | Salimpour School, Onyx, Carla Kerstens, Sadira, Barbara Neilikka, Calamity Sam’s Beg/Int Choreo Group

AMAR is back! He’s been updating his music library, and can’t wait to share it all with you. Come and get down on the dance floor to the new beats.

We’ve got quite a line-up this week! Representing Salimpour School, we have the lovely RACHEL DUFF. One of our newest regulars is back to strut her stuff- ONYX. CARLA KERSTENS will shimmy her way into your heart. SADIRA will show you the way to slink across the floor. Come out and cheer for CALAMITY SAM’S Beginning/Intermediate Choreography Students– they’ve been working their butts off for 5 weeks to learn this dance!

Finally, we have BARBARA NEILIKKA, a recent transplant from Switzerland! We’re excited to welcome her to our Underground Nomads family.

Born and raised in Switzerland, Barbara has been part of the small but lively Swiss bellydance community for quite some years now. When she quit her day job as a lawyer to devote herself to the musts instead of the shoulds in her life, she didn’t know that her journey would bring her to the much bigger and older community in the SF Bay Area just a few short years later. She is thrilled to live and dance in California now, and to share her love of bellydance with the wonderful people here.
Art is what happens when all the noise is gone.
