Underground Nomads continues in honor of our Co-founder, Resident DJ and inspiration, DJ Cheb i Sabbah. First Tuesdays have been Cheb i Sabbah’s night since we started Underground Nomads a few months back. We are now hosting DJs who have been close to and highly influenced by him.
This month’s first Tuesday features JEF STOTT.
The night will begin with an opening hour playing Cheb i Sabbah’s music, followed by Dance Performances. Performers this week will include Residents MASHA and a dynamic duet featuring DANIELLE LOTTRIDGE and JEANETTE WALTON as Two Winks.
Fusion belly dance artists Danielle Lottridge and Jeanette Walton began to collaborate on innovative explorations of musical and physical form two years ago when they formed the duet “Two Winks”. They’ve danced at shows, clubs, and art collectives in San Francisco, Oakland and Southern California, and they are thrilled to present new choreography at Underground Nomads!
Masha is a multi-award-winning dance artist specializing in Modern and Classic Egyptian belly dance styles. She is distinguished for her grace, refined musicality, and expansive dance training within and beyond the realms of Middle Eastern dance. Masha offers weekly classes in Berkeley, CA. and can be seen performing regularly throughout the San Francisco Bay area.

Jef Stott’s DJ sets bring a sense of tribal community to the dance floor with dynamic live instrumentation and top shelf musicality from guest performers interplaying with original tracks and live remixes. The arc of his performances can range from the most delicate acoustic and ambient moments to the chakra blasting intensity of peak hour sonic bliss. He is a regular performer at Ecstatic Dance events around the world and is intuitively sensitive to the collective emotion of a moving dance floor.
